Overview
The Empower 7 Mentoring Program serves youth ages 18-24 in RootedPath and high-risk or unaccompanied youth in Neighborhood Watch who are nearing adulthood without stable family support. Through one-on-one mentoring relationships, we provide guidance, encouragement, and support as they transition to adulthood. Mentors help these young people set goals, develop critical life skills, and find a path to self-sufficiency and stability.
What We Do
The Problem: Many youth in RootedPath and Neighborhood Watch face significant challenges as they approach adulthood. Without stable family support, they often struggle with emotional trauma, uncertainty, and a lack of direction. These youth are at a high risk of homelessness, unemployment, and mental health struggles if they do not receive the guidance and resources they need during this critical time.
Our Solution: Our Mentoring Program connects these young people with compassionate, trained mentors who provide consistent emotional support and practical guidance. Mentors walk alongside youth, helping them develop life skills, set achievable goals, and navigate challenges on their journey toward independence and a successful future.
The Mentoring Program involves a team approach to ensure each mentor is backed by a team to effectively help the student overcome obstacles and develop into purposeful, thriving adults.
