Be Part of the HEART Behind the Event

Do you have a heart to make a difference? Join the Deep in the Heart planning team and help create an evening that brings our community together in support of youth in need.

More than a dinner and fundraiser, Deep in the Heart is an opportunity to grow the mission, connect volunteers and donors, and create an experience guests will remember long after the night ends.

As part of the committee, you’ll help shape the HEART of the event—ensuring every detail contributes to a welcoming, meaningful, and memorable experience.

From the moment guests arrive to the final goodbye, every detail matters.

What You’ll Do

Opportunities may include planning and supporting elements such as:

Guest experience and hospitality Event flow, schedule, and coordination Décor, ambiance, and environment Auction and donor engagement Food, entertainment, and overall experience

Every role contributes to creating a night that is fun, beautiful, and impactful.

We’ll match you to an area based on your interests, strengths, and availability. Once you sign up, a team lead will connect with you to help you find the best fit.

Tasks:

Meet with Leadership to determine the information that needs to be shared Creatively communicate the "news" of Empower7 through words and branded images Submit draft to Marketing Chair for approval and comment resolution

 

Help spread the word and invite others to be part of Empower 7 Giving Day.

Share the campaign with your friends, family, and network through social media, text, and email. Every message helps expand our reach and impact.

Do you enjoy planning and hosting events? Are you detailed oriented and super organized? 

Event Coordinators are critical in helping us effectively engage with our community so we can continue to GROW! 

Tasks:

Identify and recommend appropriate outreach events for our ministry to participate/host Serve as liaison between Empower 7 and any external organizations/businesses/individuals Organize and manage the event to include pre-planning and day of activities Work with Volunteer Coordinators to ensure volunteer opportunities are identified and filled Provide feedback regarding the success of individual events Work with Empower 7 leadership to determine and prioritize needs

This is for small-scale events only such as appreciation events, volunteer huddles, outreach events, speaking engagements, meetings, etc. Each Event Coordinator would be assigned only one event to focus on. The selected event would depend on the interests and availability of the volunteer.

Help us meet our fund development goals through grant writing! Create content to inspire and educate grantors about the modern-day orphan crisis and Empower 7's mission and goals to solve it!  

Tasks:

Work with the Fund Development Committee Leader to determine the information that needs to be written Write content to meet or exceed the needs of the grant application Evaluate applications and recommend improvements

Our Leadership passionately supports our mission at Empower 7 through time, talent, treasure, and relationships. This opportunity is listed to capture the number of volunteer hours they donated to honor their duties as an Empower 7 Leader.

Applicable leadership roles for this opportunity include the following position:

Board Directors Committee Chairs/Co-Chairs Event Chairs/Co-Chairs Team Leads/Co-Leads Project Leads/Co-Leads

The Outreach Team works to strategically grow the organization necessary to BUILD THE RANCH and serve at-risk teens in North Texas!

Activities:

Identify and recommend strategies to grow the organization Help connect a volunteer's talent/interest to the organization's need Promote the needs and events of the organization Network and connect to engage potential supporters Provide feedback on growth strategies

Help Transform a Space. Change a Life.

Join a team of volunteers to help transform a dorm room or apartment into a welcoming, functional space for a young adult stepping into a new season of independence.

These projects support youth in the RootedPath program as they transition into college, career training, or independent living—often without the support of a stable home environment.

What You’ll Do Assist with decorating, organizing, and setting up spaces Assemble furniture and prepare essential items Follow the direction of a Transformation Lead to ensure a smooth and successful setup Work alongside a team to bring each space to life

Every detail helps create a space that feels safe, personal, and ready for a fresh start.

How It Works

Each project is led by a Transformation Lead who coordinates the details and guides the team.

Volunteers are assigned based on availability and interests. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to serve and be part of the team.

Do you believe in the power of prayer in Jesus' Name? Do you believe that God answers the prayers of His people?

Join the Empower 7's Prayer Shield to strategically pray our ministry. Prayer lists will be communicated to each member. Emergency prayer requests may also be submitted to individuals on this team. When appropriate, prayer warriors will gather together in person to pray.

We need hygiene items for Project Self Esteem! You can help solve this need by hosting a box drive to collect critical items from our needs list:

Promote project needs on social media or word of mouth Serve as liaison between Empower 7 and donors to coordinate pickup/delivery of donations Work with Empower 7 leadership to determine and prioritize needs

Project Leads for Empower 7's Project Self Esteem are critical in helping us serve at-risk youth in North Texas today.  

Tasks:

Identify and recommend appropriate schools that serve at-risk youth Serve as liaison between Empower 7 and any external organizations/businesses/individuals Organize and manage project events to include pre-planning, day of activities, and delivery of hygiene supplies Work with Volunteer Coordinators to ensure volunteer opportunities are identified and filled Provide feedback regarding the success of individual project events Monitor project performance to describe project impact on our communities Work with Empower 7 leadership to determine and prioritize needs

 

The purpose of the Ranch Development Committee is to provide oversight and guidance to build The Empower 7 Ranch. Additionally, the committee will help spread awareness about Empower 7 and our goal to build The Ranch to help further our fundraising efforts and identify relevant subject matter experts.

The ranch development planning processes include:

Developing the Development Plan for the Empower 7 Ranch Developing the plans and presentations to external donors and influencers. Developing long-range plans to set a clear direction for our organization and to determine methods to accomplish mission goals Deciding the priority of facility development and the best application of resources Identifying, monitoring, and mitigating internal and external issues that affect our long-term plans
